Side Story 3: Luo Yuchen’s Diary (III)

TL: Resonance

　　肖恒不是故意不去接机，本来洛予辰这阵子就被狗仔队盯得紧，自己出现万一再扯出什么事端就完全麻烦了。

Xiao Heng didn’t purposely not go to pick Luo Yuchen from the airport. Luo Yuchen is recently being watched by the paparazzi. Xiao Heng didn’t want his appearance to stir up more trouble.

　　毕竟没有公司总裁去机场接大明星的道理的，如果再被挖出来他们两个从小就认识，按照洛予辰在媒体面前透露的关于他“在等的那个人”的蛛丝马迹，说不定关系马上就被猜出来，那就不好收拾了。

Afterall, a company’s president wouldn’t personally pick up his artist from the airport. It wouldn’t be good if the paparazzi find out that they have known each other as a child. Luo Yuchen has once mentioned he was “waiting for that person” in front of the media. It would be difficult to clean up the trouble if the paparazzi figure out their relationship through the clues given.

　　肖恒不会介意名分这个东西，他只介意一件事情会对洛予辰造成什么样的影响而已。

Xiao Heng wasn’t worried about his reputation. He was only worried about how it will affect Luo Yuchen.

　　他就坐在家里等。

So, he sat at home and waited.

　　他也不能预测洛予辰进门的时候会是什么表情，总之嬉皮笑脸是不能蒙混过关的，如果敢摆架子，就彻底冷战下去。

He can’t predict what kind of expression Luo Yuchen will have when he comes in. Anyway, he can’t gloss it over with a smile. If he dares to put on airs, then they will continue their cold war.

　　当然要是好好承认错误的话，自己就行行好当什么都没发生过。

　　很快门口就响起了钥匙的声音，肖恒不等他自己开门先从里面开了。

　　当然不对，太像一年之前的日子了，自己每天殷勤得很，洛予辰爱理不理。

　　奶奶的，给你三分颜色你就开起染坊了？我就是对你太好了。

　　肖恒刚想直接回房不管这个家伙了，又有另外一种声音进入脑海里。

Xiao Heng wanted to just return to his room and ignore this guy but another voice sounded in his head.

　　难得现在的幸福生活，为那些小事生气不值得。

Your happiness now was so hard to attain. It’s not worth getting angry over such small matters.

　　肖恒想想也是，好不容易捡回来的命，好不容易和洛予辰两情相悦的，这样搞冷战多伤和气，好好的日子何必呢。

Xiao Heng thought so too. It was so hard to be alive again. Luo Yuchen and I are finally able to love each other properly. Such a cold war ruins the harmony we have now. What’s the point?

　　他看着洛予辰坐在沙发上，侧影看着很疲倦的样子。

Xiao Heng looked at Luo Yuchen sitting on the sofa looking very tired.

　　也坐了半天的飞机了，肯定很累，就不为难他吧。

He must be very tired after spending half a day in the airplane. Let’s not make things difficult for him.

　　于是善良的肖恒走过去，从后面给洛予辰按揉肩膀。

Thus, the kind Xiao Heng walked over and started massaging Luo Yuchen’s shoulder from behind.

　　既然肖恒算是低头了，洛予辰也有点不好意思，伸手把肖恒的头勾下来就是深深一吻。

This could be considered as Xiao Heng taking a step back. Luo Yuchen also felt a little embarrased. He stretched out his hand and hooked Xiao Heng’s head down for a deep kiss.

　　“美国怎么样？”肖恒在后面帮洛予辰按摩着，问他。

“How was America?” Xiao Heng asked as he massaged Luo Yuchen from the back.

　　“一般吧，比起S市也就那么回事，空气也不算特别好。”洛予辰想了想说：“不过海边很美。”

“Okay I guess. It was just like this as compared to city S and the air wasn’t that great.” Luo Yuchen thought and said, “But the sea was very beautiful.”

　　“比基尼美女？”肖恒问，想到夏威夷的阳光沙滩美女。

“Bikini girls?” Xiao Heng asked when he thought of the beauties on Hawaii’s sunny beach.

　　“你电视看太多了，现在天那么冷。”洛予辰笑，又抬头问：“你呢？一个月忙什么？”

“You watch too much TV. The weather is so cold now.” Luo Yuchen laughed, then looked up and asked, “What about you? What have you been busy with for the past month?”

　　“忙着帮有些人闹出来的事情补洞。”洛予辰语调没变，加在洛予辰肩膀上的力量则骤然增加。

“Busy solving the problem someone caused.” Xiao Heng’s tone didn’t change but the strength exerted on Luo Yuchen’s shoulder increased.

　　洛予辰感到肖恒的醋意又笑了，说：“两个疯婆子，一个根本有妄想症就不说了，另一个想出名想疯了，不惜往我身上扑，还专门让人埋伏拍照。”

Sensing Xiao Heng’s jealousy, Luo Yuchen laughed and said, “Two crazy women. One with delusional disorder and the other wanting to be famous so much that she turned crazy, throwing herself onto me and even secretly asked people to take pictures.”

　　“你不还是被算计到了？”肖恒总算听到了当事人版本的解释，松了口气，笑着说。

“Didn’t you still get calculated against?” Xiao Heng sighed in relief and said with a smile after finally hearing the explanation from the actual person.

　　“嗯，我是笨蛋。我还想万一那些女的把事情闹大了，我就只好公布和你的关系了。”洛予辰仰头，看着肖恒笑。

“En, I’m stupid. I’m thinking of just revealing our relationship if those women stir things up too much.” Luo Yuchen looked up and smiled at Xiao Heng.

　　“你别乱来啊！”肖恒听了心里甜丝丝的，但还是睁大眼睛严重警告：“别拿自己的事业开玩笑。”

“Don’t mess around!” Although Xiao Heng felt sweet in his heart, he stared at Luo Yuchen and warned, “Don’t play around with your career.”

　　“没事，我没有事业了你不是会养我吗？”洛予辰笑着说。

“It’s okay. Wouldn’t you feed me if I lose my job?” Luo Yuchen said with a smile.

　　“行行，你就等着我养你吧。”肖恒叹道。

“Fine fine. Wait for me to feed you.” Xiao Heng sighed.

　　本来照这样双边友好下去想要和好没有什么大困难的。

　　不幸的是洛予辰同学多嘴了一句。

Unfortunately, Luo Yuchen just had to say something extra.

　　他说：“等你把我变成你的圈养物应该就不会那么多疑了吧。”

　　其实他只是在开玩笑，当然水准稍嫌不够，毕竟当年在学校里他就是坐在最优生肖恒同学身边的最差生，文字功底本来就不行，再加上天生的词不达意，一句话让谁听来都会被得罪到。

He was only making a joke, but he wasn’t so good at it. Back in their school days he was the worst student and was sitting beside Xiao Heng who was the most exceptional student. With his limited vocabulary and natural talent of using inaccurate words to express himself, his sentence can easily offend someone.

　　肖恒当时就觉得再次被侮辱了，自己对洛予辰哪点不够放纵哪点不够仁至义尽哪点管他了束缚他了让他觉得透不过气了？

Immediately, Xiao Heng felt insulted once again. Am I not indulgent and belovalent enough? Did I hold him captive or made him feel suffocated?

　　自己很有涵养，洛予辰绯闻满天飞自己都还相信他，吃醋也就只是适当地吃一点点而已。

I’m very restrained. I believed in Luo Yuchen despite the numerous scandals surrounding him. I was also only jealous to an appropriate degree.

　　洛予辰不仅不感激，还要指桑骂槐，连“圈养”这样的词都用上了。

Not only was Luo Yuchen not grateful, he’s scolding me and even used a word such as “captive”.

　　于是肖恒立刻甩手不干了。

Hence, Xiao Heng swinged his arm away and stopped massaging.

　　“我没找你算账你还怪起我多疑了，你觉得你绯闻多了是应该的么？”

“I didn’t settle accounts with you yet you still blame me for being suspicious. Do you think it’s a matter of course to have so many scandals surrounding yourself?”

　　洛予辰早该知道生气的肖恒非常不好惹，但是他仍然更为失误地说出了一句话。

Luo Yuchen should have known that an angry Xiao Heng shouldn’t be trifled with, but he still rebuked, each sentence an additional mistake. 

　　“以前……我那些绯闻你都不在乎的！”

“Last time… you never cared about these scandals!”

　　话音一落，随着肖恒骤然变冷的神色，洛予辰惊觉失言。

After he finished speaking, Luo Yuchen was startled by Xiao Heng’s sudden cold expression.

　　“是哦，原来还是以前好。”肖恒嘿嘿笑了两声，开始刻薄起来：“当然好，我卑躬屈膝地伺候你，你在外面干什么我都管不着不是么。那样的人生多爽啊，当然爽，我也想那样呢。”

“Right, it’s still better last time.” Xiao Heng laughed and started speaking harshly, “Of course it’s better. I bowed down to serve you and I can’t control what you do outside. A life like this is so great. Of course it’s great. I want this kind of life too.”

　　原来你还是喜欢那个对你百依百顺的我啊，肖恒想，洛予辰你真是自私，原来的那种相处模式开心的只有你一个人，你有把我当人看么，你有想过我的心情么？

So you still like the previous me who listens to all your biddings. Luo Yuchen, you’re so selfish. Only you were happy with how we got along last time. Do you treat me as a human? Have you ever thought of my feelings?

　　有谁愿意一天到晚卑微可怜奴颜婢膝地讨好别人？我会事事都呵着你围着你团团转那是因为我傻！

Who wishes to be so low and subservient to another person? I was foolish to do everything to your bidding!

　　可是我不能永远傻下去，我不可能再像以前那样事事看着你的脸色叫你颐指气使，我知道你肯定不喜欢现在这个肖恒，我也没办法。

But I can’t be foolish forever. There’s no way I will be doing things according to your bidding like I did in the past. I know you definitely don’t like the current me, but I can’t help it.

　　因为我肖恒好歹也是个正常人，我知道我先天条件不够好，我不够好看不像那些女明星一样能让你带出去炫耀，我再怎么努力也就只能是现在这个样子，我尽力了，你爱要不要吧！

Because I’m still a normal person. I know I don’t have the natural advantage. I’m not as good looking as those female celebrities and can’t be brought out by you to boast about. No matter how much I try, what I am now is the best I can achieve. I’ve tried my best. It’s your choice to love me or not!

　　“我不是这个意思，肖恒，只是你干嘛不相信我。”洛予辰有点委屈，指责道。

“This is not what I meant. Xiao Heng, why do you not believe in me?” Luo Yuchen felt wronged and started blaming.

　　这不是我相信不相信你的问题，肖恒看着洛予辰，表情有点悲伤。我知道你根本没有做什么，我只是需要安全感需要你真的在乎我的感受，我不能容忍你不顾我的感受而明知故犯。

It isn’t an issue of whether I believe in you or not. Xiao Heng looked at Luo Yuchen sadly. I know you didn’t do anything. All I needed was a sense of security and for you to care about my feelings. I can’t take you committing such mistakes without caring about my feelings.

　　不是你我都知道其实什么都没有发生，你就可以把心藏在在我这里，而人光明正大地和某个漂亮的女人公开在一起。

Just because your heart is with me and both of us know that nothing has actually happened doesn’t mean you can openly be with another pretty woman.

　　“我没有不相信你，如果你觉得我气量太狭窄要求太苛刻让你受不了了大可直接甩了我。”肖恒波澜不惊地陈述道。

“I didn’t not believe you. If you feel that I’m too petty and can’t take me being so demanding, you can dump me.” Xiao Heng stated calmly.

　　“肖恒，你说什么呢？”洛予辰有点急了，抓住肖恒的胳膊。

“What are you saying Xiao Heng?” Luo Yuchen was becoming anxious and grabbed Xiao Heng’s arm.

　　“怎么样，你考虑考虑，以后都不用我跟着你也行，”肖恒毫不客气地甩开了洛予辰的手：“你去请个全职老妈子，或者–对，忘了你不用花钱就有一堆美人投怀送抱呢，你从里面随便挑一个就是了，肯定事事呵着你也不会管你。我更是乐得轻松，眼不见心不烦，两全其美，不好么？”

“What do you think? You can consider. I can also not follow you any more.” Xiao Heng flung Luo Yuchen’s arm away discourteously and said, “You can hire a full time nanny or– Oh right. I forgot that there are a bunch of beauties wanting to send themselves into your embrace even without you spending any money. You can just pick one amongst them. I’m sure everything will go by how you want and they won’t try to control you. It will also be relaxing for me. If I don’t see you, I won’t feel upset. This kills two birds with one stone, isn’t it great?”

　　肖恒知道现在自己是极其尖酸刻薄的，他也不喜欢这样，但是他不禁想看看，对着一个尖酸刻薄的肖恒，洛予辰会怎么样。

Xiao Heng knows that he is being extremely harsh now. He doesn’t like being this way either, but he couldn’t help but want to see what Luo Yuchen will do when facing the harsh him.

　　看着难得有情绪的肖恒发飙了，洛予辰也有点怕，不禁想先软下来一点好避过锋头。

Luo Yuchen was also a little scared seeing Xiao Heng who was rarely angry snapping. He couldn’t help but want to back down to avoid the storm first.

　　“肖恒，就是我有错你也用不着这样……”

“Even if I’m wrong, you don’t have to be like this Xiao Heng…”

　　洛予辰还不知道自己本来已经在火上浇油了，现在每多说一句就只能更错一点。他想了想，解释道：“我承认我是不小心，不过演艺圈这种逢场作戏本来就是……”

　　洛予辰急于解释，一个“逢场作戏”的用词并没有感觉什么不妥，肖恒听了则是彻底被引爆了。

　　“逢场作戏？”肖恒问。

“Acting?” Xiao Heng asked.

　　洛予辰觉得肖恒是在笑，但是笑得有点让人脊背发冷，不过他也不知道哪里错了，只好点点头。

Luo Yuchen felt that Xiao Heng was smiling, but the smile sent shivers down one’s back. However, he didn’t know which part was wrong so he could only nod his head.

　　“就是说这种事情永远都会有第二次第三次了？”

“So you’re saying that there will always be a second and a third time?”

　　原来是这个。洛予辰终于知道肖恒在介意什么了。

So it’s like this. Luo Yuchen finally understood what Xiao Heng was bothered by.

　　“我尽量避免，不过不能保证……”

“I will try my best to avoid but I can’t guarantee…”

　　洛予辰万分努力想说的是事实，他只能尽量避免，像这次这样那个女孩毫无预警地扑上来的情况，根本是防不胜防啊。现在如果给了肖恒一个保证，万一这样的事情再次出现就变成了自己背信弃义了，那后果就更严重，到时候日子还怎么过啊……

Luo Yuchen tried his best to explain the fact. He can only try his best to avoid it. Situations like this where a woman jumps into his embrace without warning are hard to avoid. If he promises Xiao Heng now and this kind of thing happens again, that will make him break his promise. Then, the consequence would be worse. If that happens, what will he do… 

　　可是这句话让肖恒听来就变成了“我以后是时不时还要来个逢场作戏的，你自己看着办”的意思。

When Xiao Heng heard this sentence however, he understood it as “I will still have this kind of act sometimes, you deal with it yourself”

　　“你不能保证？”肖恒的眼睛微微地眯起来。

“You can’t guarantee?” Xiao Heng narrowed his eyes.

　　“如果这种事我能保证的话为什么演艺圈从来就绯闻不断啊！”洛予辰仍然不知危险，振振有词。

“If I could guarantee, why would there always be scandals in the entertainment circle!” Luo Yuchen continued saying without knowing the looming danger.

　　洛予辰在怒火烧断理智的时候经常是非常暴力的，相对而言肖恒则总是异常冷静，所以相对于洛予辰在愤怒之下口不择言之后的后悔，肖恒吵架时说的话都是经过大脑缜密思维的，也就是说，肖恒吵架的时候说出来的话基本从来不曾反悔。

Luo Yuchen gets very aggressive when he is angry as anger overtakes his reasons. On the other hand, Xiao Heng is always abnormally calm. Therefore, while Luo Yuchen is always regretful for the things he didn’t mean to say when he was angry, Xiao Heng always considered his words before speaking. Which means, Xiao Heng never regretted the words he said when he was arguing.

　　所以这一次他说出来的话才会让洛予辰彻底掉入冰窟中，整个人从头到脚完全冷掉。

Therefore, the words he said this time made Luo Yuchen fall into ice, freezing him from head to toe.

　　“你不能保证是吧，那就不用保证了。”肖恒冷冷地笑着说：“洛予辰，这日子我没法跟你过了。我们分手吧。”

“You can’t guarantee? Then you don’t have to.” Xiao Heng smiled coldly and said, “Luo Yuchen, I can’t go on with you like this. Let’s break up.”

　　肖恒说完之后径自转身进了自己的房间把门反锁了。

After saying so, Xiao Heng turned around and went back to his room and locked the door.

　　洛予辰呆呆愣在客厅里，一时间气焰全消，他惶然看着肖恒紧闭的房门，又惶然地看看四周，不明白为什么突然就这样了。

Luo Yuchen was stunned still in the living room and lost his arrogance in an instance. He looked at Xiao Heng’s closed door and the surrounding, not understanding why things were suddenly like this.

　　不是一次吵架而已么，不就是一次小小的摩擦而已么？

　　他慢慢在沙发上坐下，胸口突然一阵疼得要命。

He slowly sat down on the sofa, his chest suddenly hurting very much.

　　他不是后悔他让那个女明星占了便宜弄得肖恒生气，他后悔他以前不该对肖恒那么坏，十年，早都让人心冷了。

　　自从失而复得之后，虽然肖恒还像以前一样对洛予辰很好，但是洛予辰已经完全不敢再随便说话做事，也在学着做家务，认认真真讨肖恒欢心，因为彻底领教到了肖恒忍着笑着和平常人一样，却能一声不响地去死的恐怖性格。

Ever since Xiao Heng’s return, Luo Yuchen no longer dared to say or do things wilfully despite Xiao Heng treating him as nice as before. He learned how to do household chores and tried his best to make Xiao Heng happy. He had come to understand Xiao Heng’s scary personality where he can just quietly head towards death despite looking like a normal person as he forces himself to smile.

　　但是即便一言一行如履薄冰还是难免会犯错吧，洛予辰一辈子第一次亲身体验到捧上去一颗真心然后被人无视的感觉，第一次知道它感觉居然那么糟糕。

Despite speaking and acting cautiously as if treading on thin ice, it was inevitable that he still made a mistake. It was the first time in Luo Yuchen’s life that he had treated someone so wholeheartedly and was ignored. For the first time, he learned about how terrible it felt.

　　当年自己对肖恒不负责任的冷漠，终于最后报应到自己身上。

I have treated Xiao Heng so coldly back then. My retribution has finally come.

　　洛予辰总算明白了什么叫束手无策，他对着肖恒的冷漠一点办法也没有，只能任胸口疼得难受。

Luo Yuchen finally understood what it feels to be helpless. He didn’t know what to do facing Xiao Heng’s indifference and could only let his chest hurt.

　　肖恒，你其实是恨我的对不对？

Xiao Heng, in fact, you hate me don’t you?

　　肖恒，肖恒，是不是我再怎么努力，你都没有办法像以前一样喜欢我了，所以我只要做错一点点，你就不想要我了？

If the woman had jumped into Luo Yuchen’s embrace herself just like what Luo Yuchen said, then it was truly nothing much.

　　于是肖恒在很快整理了心情之后坐在房间里面神清气爽地看书，看困了就睡了，完全不知道外面洛予辰被他一句恐吓虐得彷徨无措心如刀绞死去活来。

Thus, Xiao Heng calmed himself very quickly and started reading a book refreshingly in his room. When he got tired reading, he went to sleep, completely ignorant that Luo Yuchen who was outside was at a loss due to his scare and feeling so much pain as if stabbed by a knife.

　　洛予辰坐在客厅里等，生怕错过肖恒出来完全不敢睡觉，结果等到天亮了也等不到肖恒从房间里面出来。

Luo Yuchen sat in the living room and waited. He was so scared to miss Xiao Heng coming out of the room he didn’t dare to sleep at all. Yet, he waited until the sun was up and Xiao Heng never came out.

　　于是他很狗腿地去做早餐，做好了就等着，肖恒还是不出来。

Hence, he went to cook breakfast like an underling. After cooking, he waited but Xiao Heng still didn’t come out.

　　他不知道肖恒那种五点钟就自动醒的机制在半年没有磨练之后已然退化，他房间里没有闹钟，昨晚看的书内容很精彩于是睡得晚了点，于是今天只是很自然地睡过头了而已。

Luo Yuchen doesn’t know that Xiao Heng’s habit of automatically waking up at 5 am has long been lost after not doing so for half a year. Xiao Heng didn’t have a clock in his room and he slept a little late last night as the book content was interesting. Hence, he overslept today.

　　快到中午的时候洛予辰终于等不下去了，他到肖恒房间门口轻轻敲门。

Luo Yuchen couldn’t wait any longer when it was reaching noon. He lightly knocked on Xiao Heng’s door.

　　肖恒刚醒，也不知道具体时间，还拿着劲不准备搭理洛予辰。

Xiao Heng just woke up and didn’t know the time. He still wants to put on air and intended to ignore Luo Yuchen.

　　洛予辰敲了几声没反应，突然怕了，虽然觉得不可能，还是担心万一肖恒想不开在里面做了什么的话……

Luo Yuchen was frightened when he didn’t receive any response after knocking a few times. He was worried that Xiao Heng would think too much and do something silly inside… 

　　有什么不可能！他连分手都说出来了……

Nothing is impossible! He even said to break up… 

　　洛予辰于是急了，开始使劲打门，就差没开始撞了。

Luo Yuchen started feeling anxious. He started hitting the door hard and was close to knocking down the door.

　　“你干吗！”肖恒被吵得受不了了，心想你倒火气大，我又不是怕你，你不是就会暴力手段么，我就开开门看你能怎么样。

“What do you want!” Xiao Heng couldn’t take the noise anymore. You sure have a bad temper. It’s not like I’m scared of you. Isn’t violence what you know well? I will open the door and see what you will do then.

　　洛予辰看到肖恒终于开门了松了一口气，可是肖恒用恶狠狠的眼神瞪着他，还是很难受。

Luo Yuchen sighed in relief after finally seeing Xiao Heng open the door. However, he still felt miserable seeing Xiao Heng glaring at him so fiercely.

　　“你干吗！”肖恒不耐烦地又问：“没事别烦我。”

“What do you want!” Xiao Heng asked impatiently, “Don’t disturb me if there’s nothing up.”

　　肖恒凶恶的态度让洛予辰胸口又一阵疼得要命的委屈，他有点白痴地啜嚅了半天，战战兢兢问：“……你要不要出来吃早饭？”

Xiao Heng’s fierce attitude made Luo Yuchen’s chest hurt again. His lips moved about slightly not knowing what to say for a long while, looking a little idiotic. He asked in a tremble, “… Do you want to come out and have breakfast?”

　　“我不饿。”肖恒毫不留情把门砰地关了。

“I’m not hungry.” Xiao Heng slammed the door shut without mercy.

　　关了之后肖恒就有点后悔，自己太凶了，洛予辰的样子那么可怜，干嘛对他发那么大的脾气。

After closing the door, Xiao Heng started regretting it. He was too fierce. Luo Yuchen looked so pitiful, why am I throwing such a huge temper on him?

　　不过又觉得，洛予辰你想道歉要直接，用这种怀柔的方式绕着弯子多没诚意，自己也确实不能就这么没骨气。

But then he thought, Luo Yuchen, you should be more direct if you want to apologize. Taking other routes by using this kind of gentle method isn’t very sincere. I also can’t be so spineless.

　　洛予辰看着眼前拿到冰冷的门，脑子有点发涨，直到身子站不稳沿着墙壁滑下去他才知道，原来那些电视剧里面经常出现的这一幕不是没有道理。

Luo Yuchen’s head was in a mess after seeing the coldly shut door. Only after he lost balance and slid down the wall did he realise that it wasn’t unreasonable for TV shows to often show this kind of scene.

　　全身的力气就像被抽干了一样，只剩下冷冰冰的绝望。

It felt like all the energy from his body was sucked out and all that left was ice cold despair. 

　　已经没有办法挽回了？他苦笑，问自己。

Can it no longer be recovered? Luo Yuchen smiled wryly and asked himself.

　　不行啊，怎么能放他走？

I can’t. How can I let him go?

　　没有肖恒自己将来还怎么活？已经陷得太深了啊……

How can I live without Xiao Heng? I’m too deeply rooted… 

　　该怎么办……

　　胸口好痛，好难受。
