Chapter 202: Let’s Run, Fox (XVIII)
Mutu stood on the cliff edge as his mind blanked. He let the wind blow by him as he turned a deaf ear to his men’s shouts when they rushed over.
He had seen his fox fall down the cliff with his own eyes, disappearing from his sight just like that. Why couldn’t he have been faster? If he had been faster by just a few steps, he could have saved him!
“Chief…” A beastman hesitantly walked up, he didn’t know how he should comfort him.
Yanu’s accident not only made Mutu grieve, the rest also felt sad. For the lion tribe, Yanu was no longer that foreign nobody, but a member of their tribe, a comrade and brother. He had fought so many times for the tribe and was a hero that guided and brought prosperity to the tribe.
Although they were unwilling to think he was dead, with how tall this cliff was, it would be hard for Yanu to survive. Even if he was lucky to survive, he would likely be crippled.
Glancing at Mutu’s face, the beastman no longer dare to speak. He merely took the kit from him and turned around to hint at the rest to not disturb him.
As he turned around, Mutu had unconsciously taken a step forward, leaving his foot hanging in air off the cliff. All he needed to do was tilt his body forward and he would fall.
“Chief!” Someone noticed his movement and cried out appalled.
The beastman holding the kit suddenly turned around to see Mutu’s foot hanging over the cliff like he was about to jump down at any movement. His hair immediately stood on its end as he reached out to grab him.
At this critical moment, a sharp whistle came from below. It cut through the darkness like a like and brought life back to Mutu’s cold heart.
It was the bone flute he had given to his fox!
His fox was still alive!
Mutu was excited and moved forward, causing him to fall.
“Chief!” The beastmen had been feeling happy with the news of Yanu’s survival, but then that immediately turned into horror at this scene. All of their hair stood on its end.
Luckily Mutu remained steady as he uprighted his body, preventing a tragedy from happening.
The others still had horrified expressions with their arms reaching out.
Mutu fixed his expression into a dignified one as he ordered, “Let’s go, we’re going to save him!”
“Yes!” The beastmen finally could relax their pounding hearts.
A big and spirally crooked branch grew up on the cliff twenty-some meters above ground. Shang Ke sat on that branch, twitching his tail, licking his wounds and letting the wind blow him as he stargazed. He looked rather pleased.
All three of his missions were completed, his future will be a paved road. Without any burdens, Shang Ke was naturally in a good mood.
At this time, a shout came from above, “Fox, hold on! I will be there immediately!”
Shang Ke smiled and blew his flute a few times as a response.
The bone flute Mutu had given him was indeed a good item. It showed its worth at a crucial moment.
He could not speak, were it not for the flute, that lion would probably grieve for his ‘death’.
Shang Ke did not know that aside from that lion grieving, he almost followed him down the cliff…
Mutu’s mount had a rope, but with the cliff’s height, the rope wouldn’t be long enough to land where Shang Ke was. So going the long way around was the only choice. He calculated the time, even if they used their fastest speed, it should still take them an hour.
Shang Ke did not plan to hang out all day on the branch. After a bit of rest, he started climbing down the branch.
That avani had turned into paste, he couldn’t be more dead. Shang Ke did not bother himself with him and continued to follow the cliff wall.
After that, something mystical happened. He would run into all sorts of rare medicinal herbs and minerals the whole way down. It was like a rich man throwing money as they popped out one after another.
What left him in more disbelief was that he had actually found a healing hot spring. He had merely planned to take a quick dip, but then his wound actually healed under the nourishment of the spring. It healed at an unscientific speed of barely ten seconds, leaving behind a faint scare.
Shang Ke couldn’t help but wonder if he went from a primitive world into a cultivation world. Was it really fine for so many eastern fantasy things to appear here?
Shang Ke soaked in the spring for a while until he was thoroughly refreshed and pain free. When he left the water he was once again, a clean and white beautiful soft fox.
When he left the cavern, he saw a flame lit in the distance. It was clearly Mutu and his men coming for him.
Shang Ke promptly started to play his flute to guide them.
“Fox!” Mutu saw that familiar white figure and immediately threw aside the torch he held as he rushed forward to him.
Mutu’s tense heart finally relaxed when he wrapped his arms around him.
“Fox, I’m sorry I’m late.”
Shang Ke smiled and shook his head. He placatingly pinched his finger.
“You’re probably pretty injured from falling from the cliff. We’ll heal you immediately when we get back.” Mutu released him as he looked him over and spoke worriedly.
Eh? Something seems wrong?
The fox in his arms, although his clothes were damaged, he still held himself gracefully in high spirits. His skin was refreshed and fair and looked as if he was emitting light, like a pearl in the night.
Why did someone who had fallen from a cliff, look as if he was even more radiant than before the fall? Mutu felt as if he was confusing himself to death.
Shang Ke pulled his hand and headed for the rest of the group. What he was greeted with were cheers and well wishes.
“Daddy.” Two kits squeezed through the crowd and hugged his legs. Their eyes glistened with tears as they looked at him.
Shang Ke rubbed his head. He had bent down to pick them up but was stopped by a large hand.
Mutu picked them up instead and disdainfully gave them to other beastmen to carry as he spoke, “Yanu got hurt, you guys should behave yourself.”
The two kits no longer made a fuss, they merely stared at Shang Ke anxiously.
Shang Ke smiled at them and took out two stones from his bosom that he had found in the mountain cave and gave it to them. These two stones weren’t much, but they can glow in the dark, making them rather pretty. Their attention was successfully attracted by the stones, lessening some of the fear and worry they showed.
Mutu glanced at his fox, who could always make children happy. He wrapped an arm around his waist and leaned over to drop a kiss on his face.
This was his fox, the one he was deeply in love with, and was proud to be his lifelong partner.
When they made it back to the tribe, it was already morning. The first rays of light shone from the horizon and covered the world in a layer of gold.
Kellona had died under an avani’s sword during the battle.
She paid her price for her greed and vanity. She would rather take risks to live a flashy life of benefits and false status than to work hard and create a steady life for herself.
Half a month later, Shang Ke and Mutu formally tied the knot of becoming partners, becoming the second most respected person in the tribe and enjoyed power only second to the Lion King.
The two kits had been taken in and cared for by Shang Ke. They gradually broke free of their dark past to live a carefree one without worries. Shang Ke from then on had two more tails.
To prevent the kits from disturbing their two-person world, Mutu had people extend their house and moved the kits room a fair distance away. Even if they could hear bell ringings, they would not know what they were doing.
As he aged, Mutu became stronger and his sexual desire also became stronger. He pretty much had to tangle with Shang Ke everyday for several rounds, especially during summer when they wore the least amount of clothing. All he had to do was raise the skirt and he could go in.
Later on Shang Ke really couldn’t take it anymore and straightforwardly put on special underwear. The underwear was flexible and clung to his waist. It was hard to pull off and hard to damage.
Unfortunately for him, he had forgotten that he had a tail. He had to leave a tail within the small underwear. As such, a certain someone exploited that hole and could still make his way in…
Nowadays, the only slight regret Mutu had was that his fox could not give birth to a couple cubs for him.
As Mutu randomly thought that, he supported Shang Ke by the waist and continued his thrusting from behind him. Mutu released within him when he hit his climax.
When he was going to continue for a few more rounds, Shang Ke suddenly held his stomach and stopped him.
“What’s wrong?” Mutu didn’t move anymore and asked worriedly.
Shang Ke frowned and didn’t pay attention to him. He recently felt that his stomach was off. It felt as if a bug was growing in him and would move from time to time.
【Congratulations to host for becoming a dad.】
Shang Ke: …If you can’t speak then just stay silent and be a high-class cold System.
Wait a second, becoming a dad? Is it what he’s thinking?
Shang Ke’s face paled as he stared down at his stomach with desire to see through it.
Mutu followed his line of sight and looked at his stomach. Oh? It does seem more voluptuous lately.
Eh, eh? Eh?!
Mutu’s expression became a bit weird. After staring at him for a while, he immediately shook his head to throw out the strange thought he had.
It wasn’t just Mutu, even Shang Ke thought it was impossible. He was male, so how could he be pregnant? Was this perhaps really an eastern fantasy world?
However, regretfully for Shang Ke, this beastmen was really just so peculiar. Shang Ke just did not truly understand the world yet. After him, this world would one day evolve to where there were many child-bearing males. Because he was the ancestor of all child-bearing males.
A couple months later, after Shang Ke had confirmed Shang Ke was pregnant, he was thoroughly dumbstruck. Happiness struck too fast, he felt like he was in heaven.
【Perfect survival will add a bonus of good luck to bless Host with peace, health and wealth your whole life. Even if you take poison to kill yourself, jump from a cliff to attempt suicide, go on a hunger strike or hang yourself, you will happily survive.】
Shang Ke finally got to truly experience for himself what was ‘perfect survival’.
Although the world before was also a perfect survival, it did not quite feel that way. In that world, Shang Ke and Shao Feidu did not need to worry about basic necessities, were filled with talent and had the love of their friends and family. When they went out they had bodyguards and life was quite smooth. All until they hit a hundred years old, they never had any accident.
But when it came to this world, the perfect survival bonus really showed its results.
Since the day he completed his missions, it was like Shang Ke had god’s help as nothing went unfavorably in his life. It about reached the realm of having his wishes coming true. In the end, not only had he pushed primitive society forward and guided them, he had created a whole new race — child-bearing males.
All the child-bearing males of this world shall be Mutu and his descendant, their blood will continue to flow through them.
